The service brake system is hydraulically driven and consists of two independent braking circuits for the front and rear wheels, divided diagonally (left front - right rear, right front - left rear). If one of the circuits of the service brake system fails, the braking efficiency of the front and rear wheels is halved. The hydraulic drive includes a vacuum booster and a brake pressure regulator depending on the load on the rear axle.
Front service brakes are disc brakes (since 1985 model year ventilated), rear - drum. Parking brake system with mechanical drive, acts on the rear wheels.
