Instruction. The prerequisites for a correct adjustment are the following points: Flawless execution of the control elements and gearing of the actuating drive. The shift mechanism is easy to move. The gearbox, clutch and clutch drive must be in perfect condition. Gearbox in idle position.
Unlock the selector and shift cable lock as described below.
Pull the locking mechanism of the selector cable and the selector cable forward as far as it will go in -direction of arrow 1-. Turn the sliding sleeve in -direction of arrow 2- as far as it will go and lock the sliding sleeve. The cable must move in the latch. Secure the shift shaft as follows.
Move the gearshift lever in -direction of arrow 1- downwards to fit into the 1st/2nd gear track. Press the locking pin -A- slightly in the direction of the selector shaft and then turn the locking pin -A- by 90°in -direction of the arrow 2- until it locks into place. This locks the shift shaft, which no longer moves.
Lift selector lever cover -1- away from center console in direction of arrow. Turn the cover up over the handle.
Fix the shift lever as follows: set the lever to the idle position to the left in "corridor" 1/2 gear. Insert locking pin -T10027 A- through hole -A- into hole -B-. Make sure that the selector cable and the shift cable are inserted into the cable retainer without mechanical stress.
Turn the safety mechanisms on the shift and selector cables in the direction of the arrow - as far as they will go and release them. The spring will return the safety mechanism to its original position.
Return locking pin -A- to original position -direction of arrow-. The locking pin -A- is thus slightly extended from the cover of the gearshift mechanism. Locking pin -A- must be pulled out of the selector mechanism cover as far as it will go and pointing vertically upwards. The shift ball must be able to move in the direction of gear selection (up down).
Pull locking pin -T10027 A- out of holes -A- and -B-. Install the shift lever boot.
Function
The shift lever must be in the 3rd/4th gear track when idling. Engage the clutch. Go through all the passes several times. Pay special attention to the functioning of the reverse gear lock. If jamming occurs when re-assigning a gear, the play must be checked (move) shift shaft as follows: 1st gear, push the shift lever to the left as far as it will go and release it again. At the same time, observe the selector shaft on the gearbox (2nd mechanic). When moving the selector lever, the selector shaft must move approx. 1 mm in -direction of the arrow-. If this is not the case, adjust the shift mechanism again.
