If the belt being removed is to be reinstalled, mark the direction of its movement first so that it can be reinstalled in the same manner.
2. To remove the drive belt, remove the top engine cover (see Section 19 of Chapter 1) and loosen the belt tension by turning the tensioner in the direction of the arrow (see illustration 25.40) with a T60 Torx head. Remove the belt and lock the tensioner with a T10060A locking pin. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Make sure the belt is positioned correctly in the grooves. If using a used belt, install it with the same side up (according to the marks made during removal).
3. To remove the tensioner (1 in the illustration) remove the drive belt from the tension roller (see paragraph 2) and unscrew the bolt (2).
27.3. Tensioner mounting bolt.
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
4. To remove the crankshaft pulley, loosen its bolts (4 in illustration 27.1), holding the shaft from turning by the generator pulley nut. After this, remove the drive belt (see paragraph 2), mark the position of the pulley and completely remove its bolts. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Use new bolts (4) and a new washer (3).
5. When unscrewing/tightening the bolts securing the coolant pump pulley or power steering pump, hold the pulley from turning using tool No. 3212 (by analogy with illustration 6.7).
