Front seat: removal and installation



1. Front seat installation details are shown in the illustration.

A-D - Bolt tightening sequence 2;
1, 4, 5, 9 - Seat guide cover;
2 - Self-locking bolt, 45 Nm;
3 - Seat;
6 - Backrest tilt adjustment handle;
7 - Seat height adjustment handle;
8 - Console;
10 - Overlay;
11 - Longitudinal adjustment handle.


2. Raise the seat fully. When working on the driver's seat, set it to the service position (see subsection below).

3. Turn on the ignition and disconnect the negative cable from the battery (see Chapter 5).

4. Take a photo or draw a diagram of the connection and wiring. Disconnect the connectors.

5. Tilt the seat with the console (8 in illustration 16.1) back to normal position.

6. Remove the cover (2 in the illustration) lower seat belt anchorage unit (1) and remove this unit.

7. Slide the seat forward as far as it will go and remove the rear bolts (C and D in Illustration 16.1). Then move the seat all the way back and remove the front bolts (A and B).

8. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Before screwing in new bolts, clean the threads of the nuts. Tighten the bolts in sequence (AD in Illustration 16.1). If there are any SRS system trouble codes, clear them.

9. Remove the seat guide covers.

10. Move the seat all the way back and raise it as high as possible.

11. Carefully lift the rear upper edge of the front trim (10 in illustration 16.1), removing it from the clamps (In the illustration).

Then press the front side of the pad down while pulling it forward to release it from the clips (C and D).

12. Remove the plugs covering the console mounting bolts (see illustration), and unscrew these bolts.

Slide the seat forward and tilt the seat and console back, disengaging the wiring harness holder from the seat.

Note: Do not disconnect the connector.


13. Installing the seat to its normal position is done in reverse order.

Rear seats



14. The details of the rear seat installation are shown in the illustration.

1 - Self-locking bolt, 2 pcs., subject to replacement;
2 - Bolt, 4 pcs., 20 Nm (only available on 5-seater models with manual longitudinal adjustment);
3 - Single seat;
4 - Self-locking bolt, 7 pcs., subject to replacement;
5 - Double seat;
6 - Left console;
7 - Support element;
8 - Right console;
9 - Floor covering.


15. When installing the seats, first tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (2 in the illustration), then screw in the bolts (1), tighten the bolts (4 and 3) to 50 Nm, move the seat forward and tighten the bolts (1) to 50 Nm.
