Remove all glow plugs. Install adapter "V.A.G 1763/8" instead of a glow plug and connect a compression gauge to it "V.A.G 1763". The second mechanic should crank the starter until the compression gauge stops showing an increase in pressure.

Installation is in reverse order, observing the following: Install glow plugs. Since the electrical connectors were disconnected and the engine crankshaft was turned by the starter, errors are stored in the event recorder of the engine control unit: interrogate the event recorder in Self-diagnosis mode.
