Set the steering wheel as far back as possible, using the full adjustment range of the steering column adjuster. Move the seats as far back as possible and position their backrests at an angle of 45°. Observe safety regulations when handling pyrotechnic components. Note the conformity of the Airbag to the dashboard. Switch on the ignition. Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition on. Remove the slot cover of the instrument cluster. Remove the dashboard trim on the driver's side. Remove the side deflector of the dashboard. Remove the cover of the MMI display. Remove the MMI display. Remove the instrument cluster. Disconnect the plug connector of the access control switch and engine starter right. Remove the center deflector of the dashboard. Remove the radio/navigation system. Remove the Climatronic control unit "J255". Remove the front control panel, display and information control unit "J523". Remove the center console. Remove the glove box. Remove the dashboard supports. Disconnect the front passenger airbag connector. Option complete with speaker: remove the mid-range speaker in the middle of the front panel. Remove the "G107" solar intensity photosensor. Remove the upper A-pillar trim. Option complete with speaker: remove the side mid-range speaker on the front panel. Remove bolts "1" on the left and right at the top near the A-pillar. Remove bolts "2" on the left and right at the bottom of the front panel. Remove bolts "arrows" of the left and right air ducts on the front panel.

Remove bolts "1" of the front panel on the center pipe of the front panel in the middle. Remove bolts "2" of the front panel on the center pipe of the front panel on the right. Remove bolts "3" of the front panel on the center pipe of the front panel on the left.

Detach the front panel "1" from the bottom of the bracket "2" and pull it back "arrow B". Remove the front panel from the central pipe of the front panel carefully in the direction back "arrow A".

Remove the front panel from the front passenger side from the vehicle interior and place it on a soft surface.

Installation



Installation


Install in reverse order, taking into account the correspondence of the Airbag to the front panel. Install the front panel and insert the plug connectors of the solar radiation intensity photo sensor "G107" and the speakers through the holes in the front panel. Check if there are rubber shock absorbers "4" on the clamp "3" of the lower shelf of the windshield frame.

When sliding the front panel "1", make sure that the clamps engage with the box-shaped profiles on the bottom of the front panel. Note that the electrical connectors must be inserted until they stop and lock into place audibly. Align the front panel with the door trim and secure with bolts. Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition on.
