Removing the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor -G395, checking the signal
Note. If the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor -G395- is removed, the cooling capacity cannot be checked and the Climatronic control unit -J255- will not switch on the compressor. The refrigerant recirculation circuit remains closed, connected to the valve. Only coolant pressure and temperature sensors -G395- can be installed or may be installed on this vehicle (data exchange is carried out via the UN bus). Therefore, the high pressure sender -G65- cannot be installed on this vehicle (outputs only square wave signals).
Turn off the ignition. Removing the top panel cover. Disconnect el. plug -A-.
Unscrew the refrigerant temperature and pressure sender -G395--A- from the connection on the condenser -C-.
Installation
Installation is in reverse order, but the seal must be replaced. ring -B-.
Tighten coolant temperature and pressure sender -G395- -A-. Tightening torque: 5 Nm. Interrogate the fault memory of the control and display module, Climatronic control unit -J255- and delete any faults displayed.
Checking the signal from the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor -0395-
Note. The signal from the refrigerant pressure and temperature sender -G395- must be checked as described in Guided Fault Finding for the air conditioning system. The signal from the refrigerant pressure and temperature sender -G395- is interpreted by the used vehicle electrical system -J519-. It transmits it via the bus to the climate control and display panel, settings, Climatronic control unit -J255-. If a fault is detected in the signal from the refrigerant temperature and pressure sender -G395-, a fault is entered into the fault memory of the onboard power supply control unit -J519- and the climate control and display unit, Climatronic control unit -J255-. When reading the memory of the climate control and display unit, the settings, the Climatronic control unit -J255-, a request appears to interrogate the fault memory of the onboard power supply control unit -J519-. The measured values of the coolant pressure and temperature sender -G395- are displayed in the measured value block of the onboard power supply control unit -J519-. The displayed temperature value is currently used and the climate, settings, used Climatronic display -J255- is not used.
