Removal the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor -G395, checking the signal

Note. If the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor "G395" is removed, it is not possible to check the cooling capacity, the control and display module Climatronic control unit "J255" will not switch on the compressor. The refrigerant recirculation circuit remains closed, the connection to the valve. Only refrigerant pressure and temperature sensors "G395" may be installed or may be installed on this vehicle (data exchange is carried out via the UN bus). Therefore, the installation of the high pressure sensor "G65" is not allowed on this vehicle (produces only rectangular signals).

Turn off ignition. Remove top panel cover. Disconnect electrical plug "A".

Turn off ignition. Remove top panel cover. Disconnect electrical plug «A».

Unscrew the refrigerant temperature and pressure sensor "G395--A" from the connection on the condenser "C".

Installation

Installation is in the reverse order, in this case it is necessary to replace the sealing ring "B".

Installation is in the reverse order, in this case it is necessary to replace the sealing ring «B».

Tighten the refrigerant temperature and pressure sensor "G395" "A". Tightening torque: 5 Nm. Query the fault memory of the control and display module, Climatronic control unit "J255" and delete any displayed faults.

Checking the signal of the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor "0395"

Note. The signal from the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor "G395" must be checked as described in the Guided Fault Finding for the Air Conditioner System. The signal from the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor "G395" is decoded by the on-board power supply "J519". It transmits it via the bus to the climate control and display unit, Climatronic control unit "J255". If an error is detected in the signal from the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor "G395", a fault is entered into the fault memory of the on-board power supply control unit "J519" and the climate control and display unit, Climatronic control unit "J255". When reading the memory of the climate control and display unit, Climatronic control unit "J255", a request appears to interrogate the fault memory of the on-board power supply control unit "J519". The measured values of the refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor "G395" are displayed in the measured value block of the on-board power supply control unit "J519". The displayed temperature value is currently used and the climate control display, settings, used Climatronic "J255" is not used.
