On vehicles with an electric trunk lid drive, the lid drive units must first be removed. When installing, observe the bolt tightening sequence.

Removal the trunk lid hinge 1. Bolt 21 Nm; 2. Trunk lid hinge. Removal: Remove the "D-pillar" on both sides. Remove the "C-pillar" and safety handle on the corresponding side. Lower the ceiling in the area of the door hinge. Remove the lid hinge trim. To avoid damaging the lid or the body, support the lid and secure it from falling. Unscrew the lid bolts "1". Unscrew the bolt "4", the hex nut "6" and remove the hinge. Installation: Insert the hinge into the body and lightly secure it to the roof frame with the nut "6". Then lightly secure the hinge on the side with the bolt "4". Secure the hinge with the bolts "1". Align the lid on the left and right relative to the body and secure it with the bolts "3" to the proper torque. Adjust the height of the lid relative to the roof and tighten the bolt "4" and nut "6" to the proper torque. Install the hinge trim; 3. Trunk lid; 4. Bolt. 21 Nm; 5. Roof; 6. Nut. 21 Nm

The cover plate is installed on the lid hinge. Release the side locks of the cover plate "2" and remove it from the lid hinge. Insert the tongue "arrow" behind the lid. To install, position the locking tongues opposite the holes on the hinge bracket, press the cover plate from the opposite side.

The pad should lock into place with a distinct click.
