Open the sunroof curtain completely. Remove the rear glass cover.
Unscrew bolt "3" of cover "2" (2 Nm). Using a screwdriver, open the lock - arrow, of cover "2-4" and remove cover "2". Do not remove the inner seal "1".
Carefully remove mirror "2" with the slider. Do not damage the fabric of the curtain "3". Pull the slider "1" in the direction of the "arrow" on the side of mirror "2". Remove the ceiling trim.
Unscrew bolts "1" of cassette "2" (3.5 Nm). Pull the cassette of the curtain "2" in the "direction of the arrow" down to the electric motor of the sliding sunroof curtain "3".
Pull out cassette "2" with steel tape "4" in the direction of the "arrow" from bus "1".
After removing the sunroof curtain, the mirror can be replaced.
Remove mirror "1" in the direction of the "arrow" from the edging "3" of the curtain fabric "2". Slide the new mirror -1 onto the edging "3".
Installation
Insert the mirror before installing the cassette. Do not lubricate the sliders and cables of the sunroof curtain drive. Insert the cassette "2" with the steel tape "4" against the direction of the "arrow" into the bus "1".
Insert loop "3" of cassette "2" under bus "1". Insert slider "4" in the direction of the "arrow" into mirror "3".
The slider "4" must enter the hole of the steel tape "1" and the grip of the hatch curtain cable "2". Installation is in the reverse order.
Tightening torques
- Cassette bolt: 3.5 Nm
- Cover bolt: 2 Nm
Note: After installing the sunroof curtain, check that it moves smoothly and easily. To do this, move the sunroof curtain manually by turning the drive motor with a regular Allen key, and make sure that the curtain material is not stretched excessively and that no folds form on it.
Install the ceiling panel. Install the rear glass cover. After completing the work, perform the normalization of the sunroof electric motor.
