Heating and ventilation system (Audi 80 B4)

Insufficient air heating

The heater activation rod has broken or the heater activation rotary lever is faulty

• Check and replace if necessary

The warm air duct damper does not open

• Check the damper

The air damper does not open

• Check the drive rod, throttle and throttle lever

The heater radiator is clogged with leaves

• Remove the fan and clean the heater core

The cooling system thermostat opens too early and the coolant remains cold

• Replace Thermostat

The heater does not turn off

The heater activation rod has broken or the heater activation rotary lever is faulty

• Check and replace if necessary
