The windshield wiper does not work

Fuse defective

The windshield wiper motor is faulty
  • Check the electric motor with a tester and a test lamp. Between terminal 53a and the "ground" (-), the test lamp should light constantly. Between terminal 53e and the "ground" (-), the lamp should go out when the brushes approach the parking position. When checking between terminal 53e and the battery plus, the lamp should light when the brushes approach the parking position. If this does not happen, the electric motor should be replaced.
