Diagnostic connector
Installation location: the diagnostic connector for the "VAS 5051B" tester is located in the driver's footwell.
Mechatronics, automatic transmission control unit "J217", multifunction switch "F125", input shaft speed sensor "G182" and output shaft speed sensor "G195"
Installation location: Mechatronic is fixed to the lower part of the gearbox housing and is covered by the gearbox oil pan.
Mechatronics combines hydraulic and electronic control units, sensors, and actuators into a single system. These include: Used automatic transmission "J217", Multifunctional switch "F125", Input shaft speed sensor "G182", Secondary shaft speed sensor "G195". Only the entire system is subject to replacement "Mechatronik" assembled. All elements are checked by means of self-diagnostics.
Wiring harness in the gearbox
Installation location: wiring harness "A" with plug connector "C" is secured to Mechatronic "B".
Automatic gearbox selector position indicator "Y6"
Installation location: The automatic transmission selector position indicator "Y6" is integrated into the instrument cluster.
If the automatic transmission selector position indicator is faulty, the instrument cluster must be changed.
Used automatic transmission selector sensors "J587" and Tiptronic switch "F189"
Installation location: the automatic transmission selector sensor control unit "J587" and the Tiptronic switch "F189" as a single unit "2" are fixed with "arrow" clamps on the functional unit of the gear shift mechanism.
Ignore the "A" arrows.
Selector lock solenoid "N110"
Installation location: automatic transmission selector lock magnet "N110" "Pos. 1" is fixed with clamps on the gear shift mechanism.
Selector position switch P "F305"
Installation location: consisting of 2 reed switches "1" and "2", the selector position switch P "F305" is installed on the board "B" of the automatic transmission selector lock magnet "N110" "A". The selector position switch P "F305" can only be replaced together with the automatic transmission selector lock solenoid "N110".
Kickdown Switch "F8"
The engine control unit stores a specific value from the accelerator pedal position sensor "G79" and the accelerator pedal position sensor 2 "G185".
Installation location: The gas pedal position sensors are integrated into the "arrow" gas pedal module. If one gas pedal position sensor is faulty, the gas pedal module must be replaced.
Gear selector position indicator panel "Y26"
Installation location: the automatic transmission selector position indicator panel "Y26" "Pos. 1" is fixed with clamps in the center console.
