Car keys

A microchip is built into the key handle and therefore the keys require careful handling.

The kit includes the following keys:
  • two main folding keys A. There is a remote control on the handle of the key. This key fits all the locks of the car. To remove/fold the key, press the release button (see arrow in illustration);
  • additional key B. This key is intended for the workshop when handing over the vehicle for repair and is suitable only for the driver's door and ignition switch:
  • spare key C. This key fits all locks. This key should be kept separately so that it can be used without problems, for example, if the main key is lost.

Warning! Do not leave the key in the ignition even when leaving the car for a short time.

D - tag. The plastic tag has the car key number stamped on it. You can request a duplicate key by contacting the AUDI representative office using this number. The tag should be kept separately and in a safe place.

Replacing the key's power elements

Attention! To replace the batteries of the folding key, we recommend contacting a specialized workshop, however, if you decide to replace the batteries yourself, then follow these steps:
  • separate the key cover A from the transmitter housing cover B by carefully prying it off with a screwdriver;
  • carefully remove the transmitter housing cover by pushing it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration;
  • remove the old batteries and install new ones so that the "+" marking on the batteries is at the bottom. The correct polarity is also indicated on the transmitter housing cover;

Install the removed components in the reverse order of removal.

Attention! If after replacing the batteries of the key it is not possible to open/close the car with it, it is necessary to synchronize the remote control device.
