Removal

1. Disconnect the air hose and connection connector from the sensor.

2. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the sensor.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Throttle potentiometer

1. Disconnect the potentiometer connection connector.



2. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the potentiometer.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Incoming air temperature sensor



The temperature sensor is part of the air flow sensor and cannot be replaced separately.

Idle speed control valve



Removal



1. Disconnect the connection connector and hoses from the valve.

2. Remove the valve.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Vehicle speed sensor



The sensor is installed on the gearbox. See subsection 9.2.7.

Fuel knock sensor



Removal



1. Disconnect the connection connector.

2. Loosen the mounting bolt and remove the sensor.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Coolant temperature sensors

The coolant temperature sensor is located on the left side of the cylinder head.

Removal



1. Disconnect the sensor connection connector.

2. Drain some of the coolant from the engine and unscrew the sensor.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Engine Cold start system valve



Removal



1. Disconnect the connection connector.



2. Disconnect the fuel pipe. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the valve.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Throttle body



Removal



1. Disconnect the accelerator cable.

2. Disconnect the air duct.

3. Disconnect the potentiometer connection connector and vacuum hoses.

3. Disconnect the potentiometer connection connector and vacuum hoses.


4. Remove the top mounting screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the throttle body.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Fuel injectors and fuel rail



Removal



1. Disconnect the air hose from the throttle body.

2. Disconnect the accelerator cable and vacuum hoses.

3. Remove the throttle body.

4. Mark and disconnect the fuel lines and hoses.

5. Disconnect the wires from the injectors.

6. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the fuel manifold.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Fuel pressure regulator



Removal



1. Disconnect the vacuum hose.

2. Remove the retaining clip and remove the regulator.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Oxygen sensor



Removal



1. Disconnect the connection connector.

2. Unscrew the sensor.



Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Electronic control unit



Removal



1. Remove the trim panels and the ECU cover.

2. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the electronic control unit, disconnecting the connection connector.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
