Removal the center console insert
Equipment variant with dual clutch gearbox: set the selector to position "S". Switch off the ignition. Remove the Climatronic control unit "J255". Carefully push the control lever/gearbox lever sleeve from the side with the wedge for dismantling "3409" or a small screwdriver "arrows" and bend it upwards.
Tape the decorative trim of the center console around the center console insert to avoid damaging the surface. Version complete with access and engine start authorization button: If the center console insert is pulled out abruptly, the locking device of the access and engine start authorization button "E408" may be damaged, since the electrical cable to the button is somewhat shorter. Carefully unscrew the center console insert and remove it upwards. Grasp the center console insert "arrow A" with your hand from below and carefully pull it upwards out of the center console "arrow B".
Disconnect the plug connectors and carefully remove the center console insert above the automatic transmission control lever/gear shift lever.
Installation in reverse order: insert the center console insert until it clicks into place.
