The backrest and seat cushion can be electrically heated when the ignition is on.
The regulator 1 turns on and smoothly regulates the heating of the driver's seat, the regulator 8 - the heating of the front passenger seat.
The rear seat heating is turned on and smoothly changed by the controls located in the rear of the center console: a - on the left and b - on right (pic. 1–44).
Pic. 1–44. The location of the rear seat heating controls: a - on the left, b - on the right
The seats are heated only when they are loaded with body weight.
If the heating is on, the number marking on the regulator flashes.
To turn off the heating, turn the dial to its original position.
2 - fog lights illuminate when the high beam or low beam headlights are on.
When you turn on the fog lights, the control lamp in the switch lights up.
3 - rear fog light lights up when the high or low beam headlights are on, and on vehicles with fog lights, when the fog lights are turned on.
When the rear fog lamps are turned on, the indicator lamp in the switch comes on.
Due to strong glare, the rear fog lamps should only be switched on when visibility is poor.
4 - heated rear window functions only when the ignition is on. When the heating is switched on, the control lamp in the switch lights up.
On vehicles with electrically adjustable position of the exterior mirrors, the heating of their surfaces is switched on simultaneously with the activation of the heated rear window.
As soon as the rear window is free of mist or ice, the heating must be switched off immediately: the reduction in electricity consumption has a positive effect on fuel consumption.
For vehicles with air conditioning, the rear window heating switches off automatically after 10 minutes.
If the vehicle is equipped with heated mirrors, then when the rear window defroster is turned on, the mirror heating is also switched on.
5 - emergency light signaling functions even when the ignition is off.
The alarm is turned on in the following cases:
- stopping the car due to a technical malfunction;
- traffic accident;
- upon reaching the end of the traffic jam.
When the alarm is on, all direction indicators flash simultaneously, as well as the control lamps for turning on the direction indicators and the control lamp in the switch.
6 – a sun-protection curtain of back glass. Briefly press the switch - the curtain will open and then turn off automatically. While the curtain is moving, you can change the direction of movement by pressing the switch in the opposite direction.
7 - moving the rear head restraints. The electrically adjustable rear head restraints can be adjusted in height by pressing the corresponding switch on the instrument panel.

Headlight corrector. With the help of an electrically operated adjusting mechanism, the headlight beam angle can be continuously adjusted according to the vehicle load. This reduces the dazzling effect of headlights on oncoming drivers and improves visibility.
To lower the beam of light, turn the knob from the main position (0) down.
The positions of the regulator correspond to the following vehicle load:
- 0 - passengers in the front seats, the trunk is empty;
- 1 - passengers in all seats, the trunk is empty;
- II - passengers in all seats, the trunk is loaded;
- III - only the driver, the trunk is loaded.
Note: On vehicles with gas discharge (xenon) lamps, when the ignition is switched on, the position of the headlights is automatically adjusted depending on the load of the vehicle.
Traction control (ASR) with reduced engine torque Prevents wheel spin when accelerating 4WD vehicles by reducing engine power. The system works throughout the entire speed range in conjunction with the anti-lock system. If there is a malfunction in the ABS, the system does not function.
The traction control system is activated automatically when the engine is started. It can be turned on and off at will by pressing the switch.
When the system is off, the ASR warning lamp is on.
Normally, the system should always be on. The system is switched off only in exceptional cases when wheel slip is necessary, for example, when driving with snow chains, when driving in deep snow or loose ground, when a stuck vehicle is rocking.
After overcoming such sections, it is necessary to turn on the traction control system again.
Note: To ensure trouble-free operation of the traction control system, it is necessary to install identical tires on all wheels.
Steering column switches for direction indicators and headlights
A - light switch can take positions:
- 0 - lighting off;
- 1 - side light is on;
- 2 - high or low beam is on.
External lighting works only when the ignition is on.
B - switch for direction indicators and headlights. The direction indicators only work when the ignition is on.
To turn on the right turn signal, move the switch up, to turn on the left turn, move the switch down.
At the included index of turn the control lamp blinks.
After passing the corner, the turn signal will automatically turn off.
Giving a turn signal before changing lanes. The switch should be pressed up or down until the back pressure increases and hold in this position - the control lamp should flash simultaneously with the direction indicator.
Light signal. Move the stalk to the steering wheel, and the high beam warning lamp comes on.
Switching to high or low beam headlights. Switching with the dipped beam or high beam on is carried out by moving the switch forward. When switching to high beam, the high beam warning lamp comes on.
parking light. The parking lights are on only when the ignition is off.
Parking light lamps on the right - switch up.
Parking light lamps on the left - switch down.
After the key is removed from the ignition, the buzzer sounds when the driver's door is open.
Cruise control
Cruise control keeps the set speed constant (over 30 km/h), if the engine can provide it, and frees the driver from having to press the accelerator pedal to support it.
Warning: Cruise control should not be engaged in heavy traffic or adverse road conditions (icy or wet road, gravel).
Cruise control is controlled by a sliding switch A and keys IN, located on the steering column switch for direction indicators and headlights.
Slide the switch to turn on cruise control A into position EIN.
When the desired speed has been reached, briefly press the button IN (FIX). Now you can take your foot off the accelerator pedal. The speed of movement is increased in the usual way - by pressing the accelerator pedal. When the pedal is released, the cruise control will reduce the speed to the set speed. If the set speed has been exceeded by more than 10 km/h within 5 minutes, the required speed must be set again.
Warning: You should only return to the original driving speed if the speed is appropriate for the specific driving conditions.
The set speed is reduced by pressing the button IN.
Each time you lightly press the key IN speed decreases in steps. If you hold the key IN pressed, the speed is reduced by automatic movement of the accelerator link. When the key is released, the achieved speed is memorized.
If the button is released at a speed below 30 km/h, the accumulator is cleared and must be reset using the button IN the desired speed after the vehicle has reached a speed of over 30 km/h.
The set speed can be increased without depressing the accelerator pedal by moving the switch A into position AUFN.
Each time you lightly press the slide switch to the left, the speed increases in steps. If you move the switch to the left and hold it in this position, the speed increases by automatically moving the accelerator link. When the switch is released, the achieved speed is memorized.
Momentary deactivation of cruise control
Vehicles with manual transmission
To temporarily disable cruise control, press the brake or clutch pedal or move the switch A into position AUS (without fixing it).
The value of the set speed entered by this moment in memory is saved.
To return to the previously set speed, after releasing the clutch or brake pedal, move the switch A all the way to the left.
Warning: Return to the previously set driving speed only when this speed is not too high for the immediately upcoming driving conditions.
Vehicles with automatic transmission
Momentary deactivation of cruise control is done by depressing the brake or clutch pedal or by moving the switch A into position AUS (without fixing it).
The value of the set speed entered by this moment in memory is saved.
To return to the previously set speed, after releasing the clutch or brake pedal, move the switch A all the way to the left.
Warnings: Return to the previously selected driving speed only when this speed is not too high for the immediately upcoming driving conditions.
In addition, cruise control is temporarily disabled even when the selector is moved to the position N or 1 (4-speed gearbox), as well as in position 2 (5-speed gearbox).
The value of the set speed entered by this moment in memory is erased from memory.
Memorization of the selected speed.
If there was no speed in the memory during the momentary shutdown, or if the set speed was erased, you can set a new desired speed in one of the following ways:
slide the switch A all the way to the left and keep it in this position until the desired speed is reached;
quickly press the key IN. The speed at the moment the key is pressed will be stored in memory.
Turn off cruise control
Vehicles with manual transmission
The final deactivation of the cruise control is carried out by shifting the switch A all the way to the right (fixation in position AUS) or on a stationary vehicle - by turning off the ignition.
Vehicles with automatic transmission
The final deactivation of the cruise control is carried out by moving the selector:
- in position P, N or R;
- to position 1 or 2 (4-speed gearbox);
- when the vehicle is stationary by turning off the ignition.
