Removal
1. Remove the generator (see the relevant chapter).
Bosch Generator
2. Unscrew bolt 1, unscrew nuts 3 and 4 and remove protective cover 2 on the back of the generator (see illustration).

3. Unscrew the bolts (see arrows in the illustration) and remove the voltage regulator.

Valeo Generator
4. Unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the protective cover on the back of the generator (see arrows in the illustration).

5. Unscrew bolts 1 and 2 securing the voltage regulator and remove the regulator (see illustration).

Installation
The voltage regulator is installed in the reverse order of removal.
