The exhaust system consists of a downpipe, a catalytic converter, an intermediate pipe and muffler, an exhaust pipe and muffler.
Removal
Each section of the exhaust system can be removed separately from the others.
Fastening the exhaust inlet pipe
Intake pipe (including catalytic converter on models with 1Z engine and AHU)
1. Remove the engine guard from underneath and the crossmember from behind the gearbox.
2. Unscrew the mounting bolts and fastening elements.
3. Loosen the mounting nuts and disconnect the pipe from the exhaust manifold.
4. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the exhaust pipe.
Catalytic converter (except for models with 1Z engine and AHU)
5. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the catalytic converter.
6. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the catalytic converter.
Intermediate pipe
7. Remove the mounting bolts and disconnect the pipe from the catalytic converter and muffler.
8. Remove the intermediate pipe.
Exhaust pipe and muffler
9. Remove the mounting bolts and the intermediate pipe.
10. Remove the muffler and pipe from the mountings.
Heat shields
11. To remove the screens, you need to unscrew the mounting screws.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
