Idle speed

1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.

2. To adjust the idle speed, turn the adjusting screw.

Maximum engine speed

1. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and determine the crankshaft speed using a tachometer.

2. Loosen the lock nut and adjust the maximum speed if necessary by turning the adjusting screw.
