1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the system power wires.

2. Disconnect the system power wires.

1. Loosen the mounting screws.

2. Remove the air bag module and disconnect the connection connector.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Passenger airbag module


(models produced before July 1992)

Removal



1. Remove the glove compartment.

2. Loosen the mounting bracket bolts and lower the module.

3. Disconnect the connection connectors and remove the module.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Removal



1. Remove the glove compartment.

2. Loosen the mounting nuts and bolts and remove the support.

3. Disconnect the module connection connector.

4. Loosen the mounting bolt and remove the air bag module.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Electronic control unit



Removal



1. Remove the center console.

1. Remove the center console.


2. Unscrew the fastening (1) nuts, disconnect the connection connector (2) and remove the electronic control unit.



Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Contact module



Removal



1. Remove the steering wheel.

1. Remove the steering wheel.


2. Mark the installation position of the contact module and unscrew the fastening screws (arrows). Remove the module.

Battery and transformer of the airbag system


(models produced before 1993)

Removal



1. Remove the rear seat.

2. Disconnect the connection connector, unscrew the mounting nuts/bolts and remove the module.
