Execution order

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the system power wires.

3. On models manufactured before July 1992, the air bag system connection connector (indicated by the arrow) located under the center console.

4. On models produced between July 1992 and June 1995, the air bag system connection connector (indicated by the arrow) located behind the glove compartment.

Driver's airbag module

Removal

1. Loosen the mounting screws.

2. Remove the air bag module and disconnect the connection connector.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Passenger airbag module

(models produced before July 1992)

Removal

1. Remove the glove compartment.

2. Loosen the mounting bracket bolts and lower the module.

3. Disconnect the connection connectors and remove the module.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Passenger airbag module

(models produced after July 1992)

Removal

1. Remove the glove compartment.

2. Loosen the mounting nuts and bolts and remove the support.

3. Disconnect the module connection connector.

4. Loosen the mounting bolt and remove the air bag module.
