In vehicles with diesel engines in the version for some countries, the heating is enhanced by an additional electric heater. When a cold start of an economical, high-efficiency engine is performed at low outside temperatures, the heat of the coolant may not be sufficient to properly heat the interior with a conventional heater. In this case, an additional heater PTC built into the air conditioning system will be useful. It heats the air supplied to the interior using the electrical power of the on-board network. Therefore, after starting a cold engine, the interior begins to warm up immediately. A thermistor with a positive temperature coefficient, PTC, converts electrical energy into heat. Electric power is supplied through two contact plates. Heat from them is transferred to the heating section, which heats the air entering the interior.
