Removal the brake booster (Audi Q5-8R)

Turn off the engine. Until then, press the brake pedal until there is braking force support, "the brake booster operates idle", the brake pedal becomes hard. Remove the storage compartment on the driver's side "1...3".



Disconnect the electrical connection of the air duct for the footrest "C". Remove the air duct for the footrest "A-B".



Remove the brake light sensor. Disconnect the brake pedal from the brake booster. Remove the water drain box cover. Remove the brace. Remove the water drain box wall. Remove the brake fluid reservoir. Unscrew nuts "3" of the master brake cylinder.



Remove the master brake cylinder from the car. Place the master brake cylinder so that the brake fluid does not leak out. Disconnect the vacuum line "3" from the brake booster.





Loosen bolts "1" securing the brake booster to the support bracket. Remove the brake booster from the car.

Installation

Install the brake booster. Ensure that the seal is seated correctly. Screw in and tighten the bolts "1" securing the brake booster to the support bracket. Connect the vacuum line "3" to the brake booster. Install the master brake cylinder "15". Install the brake fluid reservoir "1".

• On vehicles with manual transmission: insert hydraulic line "5" of the clutch into the brake fluid reservoir. Fill with brake fluid up to the mark. Bleed the brake system.
• On a car with a manual transmission: bleed the clutch. Install the water drain box wall. Install the tensioner. Install the water drain box cover.

Connecting the brake pedal to the brake booster

Hold the ball head of the push rod in front of the fastening and press the brake pedal towards the brake booster until the ball head clicks into place with an audible click. Install the brake light sensor. Install the footwell air duct "A-B". Tighten the footwell air duct bolt "A". Connect the electrical connector "C". Install the storage compartment on the driver's side "1...3".
