Order of execution
1. Depress the brake pedal with the vehicle stationary at least 5 times. Then, with the pedal depressed, start the engine. The pedal should now feel under your foot.
2. Otherwise, disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster and start the engine. Put your finger on the end of the vacuum hose and see if there is a vacuum.
3. If there is no vacuum: Check the tightness of the hose. Replace if necessary. Tighten all clamps.
4. If there is a vacuum: Measure the vacuum value. Replace amplifier if necessary (service station work).
