Warning: Brake fluid is poisonous. Never aspirate fluid by mouth through the hose. Store brake fluid only in containers that cannot be accessed by accident.
Order of execution
1. Brake fluid is aggressive. Therefore, it should not be allowed to come into contact with paintwork, but if it does get on the coating, it is necessary to wipe the surface and rinse with a strong stream of water.
2. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air. Therefore, brake fluid should be stored in closed containers.
3. Brake fluid once used in the brake system must not be used again. After removing air from the brake system, add only new brake fluid to it.
4. Brake fluid specification: FMVSS 116 DOT 4.
5. Avoid contact of brake fluid with mineral oils. A small amount of mineral oil makes the brake fluid unusable or causes the brake system to fail. Contact of plugs and cuffs of the brake system with substances containing mineral oils leads to damage to them. Do not use cloths soaked in mineral oils to clean the system.
6. Brake fluid change every 2 years. It is recommended to do this after the cold season.
Warning: Brake fluid must be disposed of in a special way. Under no circumstances should it be disposed of with household waste. Local authorities should inform drivers about places where hazardous materials can be disposed of.
