Warning: Brake fluid is poisonous. Never suck out the fluid with your mouth through a hose. Store brake fluid only in containers that cannot be accessed accidentally.
Execution order
1. Brake fluid is aggressive. Therefore, it should not be allowed to come into contact with paintwork, but if it does get on the paintwork, it is necessary to wipe the surface and rinse with a strong stream of water.
2. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, i.e. it absorbs moisture from the air. Therefore, brake fluid should be stored in closed containers.
3. Brake fluid that has been used in the brake system once should not be used again. After bleeding the brake system, add only new brake fluid.
4. Brake fluid specification: FMVSS 116 DOT 4.
5. Avoid contact between brake fluid and mineral oils. A small amount of mineral oil will render the brake fluid unusable or cause the brake system to fail. Contact of the brake system plugs and seals with substances containing mineral oils will damage them. Do not use rags soaked in mineral oils to clean the system.
6. Replace the brake fluid every 2 years. It is recommended to do this after the cold season.
Warning: Brake fluid must be disposed of in a special manner. It should never be disposed of with household waste. Local authorities should inform drivers about possible disposal sites for hazardous materials.
