Removal
1. Turn off the ignition. Disconnect the ground (-) cable terminal from the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the rubber gasket of the waterproof casing cover (see arrows in the illustration), and then remove the cover 1.

3. Unscrew the bolts (see arrows in the illustration) and remove the protective cover of the fuse and relay box.

4. Use a screwdriver to pry up the mounting bracket (see arrow in illustration).

5. Press the clamps (see arrows in the illustration), disconnect plugs 1 and 2 and carefully remove the engine control unit from the engine compartment.

Installation
The engine control unit is installed in the reverse order of removal.
