Every 30,000 km I run On A6 models, the inscription IN1 should light up on the maintenance screen.
Every 12 months on A6 models, IN1 should light up on the service screen.
Every 2 years on A6 models, IN₂ should light up on the service screen.
Regular performance of all necessary maintenance operations will ensure long and reliable operation of the engine. If the quality of engine operation has deteriorated, the following operations must be performed.
Primary checks:
- clean, inspect and test the battery;
- check oil and coolant levels;
- check the condition and tension of the drive belt;
- replace spark plugs;
- inspect the distributor cap, rotor and high tension wires;
- check the condition of the air filter and replace it if necessary;
- check the fuel filter;
- check the condition of all hoses and inspect them for leaks.
If the above steps are not effective, please perform the following checks.
Secondary checks:
- check the battery charging system;
- check the ignition system;
- check the power supply system;
- replace high voltage wires.
