Starting the engine
The engine can only be started when the control lever is in the "N" or "P" position.
Selecting a driving mode
Always press the brake pedal before selecting a driving mode with the vehicle stationary and the engine running. When changing gears before the vehicle starts moving, do not press the accelerator pedal.
If you accidentally shift the lever to the "N" position while driving, release the gas and wait until the revs drop to idle speed before returning to the desired driving mode.
