Shift knob removal and assembly (Audi A2)

Unlock the locking tabs "arrows A and B" and remove ring "1" upwards from the inner ring "2". Install in the reverse order, while it is necessary to insert the wide tab of the inner ring "arrow A" into the wide groove of the outer ring "1".



Detach the cover from the switch button and assemble it with the switch button.



Turn the inside of the cover outward. Press the tongues of the connecting element "arrows" outward with a screwdriver. Remove the connecting element from the shift lever. Unscrew the knob outward and remove it from the cover.

Installation is in reverse order, turning the inside of the cover outward. Install the switch button into the cover. Install the connecting element over the knob and cover. The connecting element should lock onto the knob.
