Clamp the puller in a vice in the area of the clamping surfaces and use pliers to press the sealing lip. Clean the working and sealing surfaces of the lip seal.
Instructions: Do not lubricate the working edge and outer edge of the seal before pressing.

Push the cuff "A" from the conical side evenly along the guide sleeve of the sealing ring press-fitting device "3083". Slide the spacer sleeve "3348/2" and the sealing ring press-fitting device "3083" with the cuff onto the bolt "B" for the intake camshaft gear with the valve timing adjuster.

Carefully screw the bolt for the intake camshaft gear with the valve timing adjuster into the intake camshaft a few turns.

Push the spacer sleeve "3348/2" and the device for pressing in the sealing ring "3083" with the cuff onto the camshaft bearing housing so that the cuff lies evenly. Press the cuff with the spacer sleeve "3348/2" and the device for pressing in the sealing ring "3083" into the camshaft bearing housing until it stops.
