Engine number ("engine letter designations" and "serial number") "arrow" is located on the left in the direction of travel at the junction of the engine and gearbox. Additionally, a sticker with the "engine letter designation" and "engine serial number" is applied to the protective cover of the toothed belt. The engine letter designations starting with the letter "C" are 4-digit. The first 3 digits determine the working volume and mechanical design of the engine. They, including the current number, are stamped on the cylinder block. The 4th digit is intended to indicate the power and torque of the engine and depends on the engine control unit. The 4-digit engine letter designation is also shown on the manufacturer's plate (export version), on the sticker with the vehicle data and on the engine control unit.
