The voice control system can be used to acoustically control the telephone, Telematics, infotainment system and navigation. The functions can be controlled by voice. The system is activated by pressing the "RP" button on the multifunction steering wheel. The voice control system is a component of the used communication electronics 1 "J794". Troubleshooting is carried out in the "Guided Fault Finding" mode.

Removal
The voice control system is a component of the used electronic information system 1 "J794" (MMI) in the upper part of the center console. It cannot be replaced separately. If faulty, the communication electronics control unit 1 "J794" must be replaced. Remove the communication electronics control unit 1 "J794".
Installation
Install the communications electronics control unit 1 "J794". Carry out the following functional check: Switch on the radio "R". Briefly press the "PIT" button on the multifunction steering wheel. A "special signal" sounds, the voice dialogue system is active. Say the command "Help". Since the radio "R" is active, the voice dialogue system will respond "Befehle fuer das Radio sind.../Instructions for the radio". Depending on the equipment, you can query other devices: if a telephone is installed, say "Telefon/Telephone". The voice dialogue system will switch to telephone mode. Press the "PTT" button and hold it down for approx. 1 second. The voice dialogue system will respond "Abbruch/Abort" and is deactivated.
