Removal
The automatic distance control sensor "G550" is located behind the right air duct grille in the front bumper. Removing the automatic distance control sensor "G550" without the bracket: unlock the bracket "1" and remove the air duct grille "2".
Turn the fastening nuts "2" by approx. 45° "in the direction of the arrow" and remove the automatic distance control sensor "G550" "1" with the mounting pins from the fastening nuts "2". Unlock the plug connector "3" and remove the automatic distance control sensor "G550" "1". Remove the automatic distance control sensor "G550-1" in the forward direction through the bumper trim.
Removing the automatic distance control sensor "G550" with the bracket: unscrew bolts "1" and "2", detach the plug connector "3"; release the wiring harness and remove the automatic distance control sensor "G550" "4" with a bracket through the bumper cover.
Removing the cover of the automatic distance control sensor "G550": unlock the "arrow" clamps and remove the "A" cover from the automatic distance control sensor "G550-B".
Installation
Installation in reverse order. In this case, the following should be taken into account: the installation pins in the holder are pre-adjusted. If necessary, the adjustment should be corrected. Place the automatic sensor, maintaining the distance "G550" on a soft, clean substrate.
Measure the dimension "a" from all studs. The dimension "a" should be 43 mm. Insert the bracket and tighten the bolts. During the installation of the bracket, the automatic sensor, maintaining the distance "G550" should be located (as shown in the picture) towards the center of the car (turn) and secure with bolts. Observe the following sequence of actions when making a bolted connection: install bolt "1" in the longitudinal hole, and bolt "2". in the calibration hole and tighten. Tighten bolt "1" in the longitudinal hole.
Install the automatic distance control sensor "G550", carefully manually push the fastening nuts onto the sensor mounting pins and lock. Install the air intake grille. Perform the ACC adjustment.
