Removal the switch with a lock to turn off the front passenger airbag "E224"
Turn on the ignition. Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition on. Remove the glove box. Disconnect the electrical connector "2".
To do this, press the safety locks "1" in the "direction of the arrow" until the plug connector is unlocked. Disconnect the plug connector "2".
Unlock spring clips "1" and "3" and push the front passenger airbag switch with lock out of the switch housing with lock.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account that the electrical connectors must be inserted all the way with an audible lock. Take into account that the wires must not be pinched. Take into account that the switch with a lock for disabling the front passenger Airbag "E224" must be fixed in the housing until an audible click is heard. Before turning on the ignition, it is necessary to perform the following procedures: move the selector lever to position P. Activate the parking brake. Turn off the ignition. Open the hood. Connect the charger, for example, the battery charger "VAS 5095A" to the points for starting from an external source of starting current of the on-board network at 12 V. Turn on the ignition. Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition on.
