1. Place the vehicle on jack stands.
2. Check the exhaust system mounting clamps for tightness.
3. Inspect the exhaust system using a flashlight to ensure that the pipes are not burnt, rusted or worn out.
4. Replace flattened exhaust pipes.
5. Check the rubber mountings of the exhaust pipes for porosity by stretching and twisting them. Replace the mountings if necessary.
6. Lower the vehicle.
