1. Front passenger airbag. Disconnect the negative battery terminal/cable. Remove the glove box. Disconnect plug connection "2".
Attention! Plug connection (bipolar, red) the front passenger airbag must not be disconnected under any circumstances!
Unscrew nut "3" (4 pcs.). Remove Airbag. Place Airbaq so that the energy-absorbing cushion faces upward.
Installation: Make sure that connector "2" is fully seated (with a click) engaged. Install the Airbag. Turn on the ignition. Connect the (-) terminal to the battery.

3. Nut (4 pcs.) - tightening torque 9 Nm, must be replaced after the Airbag has been triggered.
Disconnecting the Airbag Plug
Open cover "1" of connector "4". Press the locking latch "3" and remove connector "2".
Instructions: Removal and installation of the contact ring assembly must be carried out in the middle position of the steering wheel (the front wheels are in a position corresponding to straight-line movement). The return ring with slip ring, as a new spare part, is fixed in the middle position with a plastic clamp or a cut-off ring. For vehicles with an ESP sensor in the return ring with slip ring, the ESP sensor must be aligned. Vehicle diagnosis, measurement and information system VAS 5051.
