Removal



Drain the coolant.

Remove the timing belt.

Remove the front section of the intake manifold.

Loosen the screws and remove the upper 2 (see Fig. 3.3–58) section of the timing belt cover

Unscrew the screws and remove the left and right timing belt covers 1 and 3.

Unscrew the screws and remove the left and right timing belt covers 1 and 3.

Unscrew the bolts and remove the water pump (Fig. 7–18).
