Hood Lock Panel



Hood Lock Panel

  • 1 - Torx screw, 25 Nm
  • 2 - lock holder
  • 3 - turn signal
  • 4 - hex bolt, 35 Nm
  • 5 - Torx screw, 6 Nm
  • 6 - lock holder
  • 7 - bumper trim
  • 8 - self-tapping screw, 8 Nm
  • 9 - soundproofing

Warning: The lock holder can be removed with the headlights and radiator installed. Removal and installation with the radiator and headlights is described here.


Removal



1. Drain the coolant, refer to subsection Replacing the coolant.

2. Disconnect the hoses from the radiator, refer to subsection Removal and installation the radiator and fan.

3. Remove the bumper trim –7–, refer to subsection Removal and installation bumpers.

4. Disconnect the headlight electrical wires.

5. Remove the direction indicators, refer to the subsection Removal and installation the front turn signal.

6. Remove the hood lock, refer to the subsection Removal and installation the hood lock.

7. Remove mounting bolts –1– and –4–. Do not remove the bumper fixing screws (arrows).

8. Remove the lock holder –2– forwards with the help of an assistant.

Installation



1. With the help of an assistant, install the lock holder and secure it with screws –1– and –4–.



2. Install the hood lock, refer to the subsection Removal and installation the hood lock.

3. Install turn signals, refer to subsection Removal and installation the front turn signal.

4. Connect the headlight electrical wires.

5. Install the bumper trim, refer to the subsection Removal and installation bumpers.

6. Attach the coolant hoses to the radiator and secure them with clamps, refer to subsection Removal and installation the radiator and fan.

7. Fill the system with fluid, refer to subsection Replacing the coolant.

8. Check the headlight adjustment and adjust again if necessary.
