Removal
Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition off. Remove the noise insulation screen. Cut the clamp "2" and remove the cover "3" from the retractor relay upwards.
Unscrew nut "2". Where available, unscrew the jumper to the left engine mount. Remove the cover from the positive terminal. Disconnect cables "3" and "4" from the starter retractor. Remove the wire holder "1". Unscrew the upper starter mounting bolt.
Unscrew the nut "2" and remove the ground cable "3" at the bottom of the starter. Unscrew the lower double bolt "1" of the starter. Remove the starter downwards.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order, taking into account the following: during installation, install all clamps in the places where they were originally installed. Connect the battery.
Tightening torques:
- Starter to engine: 65 Nm
- Terminal B+ to starter: 16 Nm
- Ground cable to starter: 22 Nm
- Holder to starter: 22 Nm
