Unlock the service cover from the inside. Unlock the hood and pull forward a little. Remove the hood. Unplug connector for coolant temperature sender -G2-.
Assignment of 4-pin connector for coolant temperature display sender G2-/ coolant temperature sender -G62-
1. Connect coolant temperature sender -G2- to dash panel insert control unit (temperature display)
2. Ground for coolant temperature display sender -G2- (sensor mass)
3. Earth for coolant temperature sender -G62- (sensor mass)
4. Signal line from coolant temperature sender -G62-

The sensor is located in the connecting pipe of the cooling system on the left side of the cylinder head. Unplug connector -arrow- for coolant temperature display sender -G2-/ coolant temperature sender -G62-.
