Unlock the service cover from the inside. Unlock the hood and pull it forward a little. Remove the hood. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector "G2".
Purpose of the 4-pin connector of the coolant temperature indicator sensor G2-/coolant temperature sensor "G62"
1. Connecting the coolant temperature sensor "G2" to the instrument cluster control unit (temperature indication)
2. Ground of the coolant temperature indicator sensor "G2" (sensor mass)
3. Ground of coolant temperature sensor "G62" (sensor mass)
4. Signal wire from coolant temperature sensor "G62"

The sensor is located on the connecting pipe of the cooling system on the left side of the cylinder head. Disconnect the "arrow" connector of the coolant temperature indicator sensor "G2" / coolant temperature sensor "G62".

The sensor is located on the connecting pipe of the cooling system on the left side of the cylinder head. Disconnect the "arrow" connector of the coolant temperature indicator sensor "G2" of the coolant temperature sensor "G62".

The sensor is located on the connecting pipe of the cooling system on the left side of the cylinder head. Disconnect the connector "arrow 3" of the coolant temperature indicator sensor. Ignore pos. 1- and "pos. 2".
