Removal
Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key. Remove the left side trim of the trunk. Unscrew screws "1...3". Remove the mounting plate with hinges.
Unscrew bolts "2". Remove the parking assistant control unit "J446" "pos." 1- upwards. Disconnect the plug connector (black) to the rear parking assistant sensors. Remove the rear bumper.
Disconnect connector "1" of the sensor. Press both locking tabs towards the "arrow" and push the sensor out from the outside inwards.
Installation
Installation is in reverse order, it is necessary to install the rear bumper. Install the left side trim of the trunk.
Tightening torques:
- Used parking assistant "J446" to the body: 1.8 Nm
- Fastening bar with luggage loops to the body: 21 Nm
