The fuel level sensor "G" is located under the rear bench seat. Switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key. Fold the rear seat forward. Remove the front strip "arrow" of the boot floor mat upwards.

Turn the cover counterclockwise "arrow". Remove the cover.

Carefully unlock and remove the "arrow" plug connector on the flange.

Pin assignment of the 4-pin connector of the fuel level indicator sensor "G"
1. Positive terminal of fuel pre-supply pump "G6"
2. "Ground" of the fuel level sensor "G" ("ground" of the sensor)
3. Cable connection from fuel gauge sensor "G" to instrument cluster (fuel tank level indicator)
4. "Ground" of the fuel pre-supply pump "G6"
Cars with TDI engine (with turbocharged direct fuel injection)

Carefully unlock and remove the "arrow" plug connector on the flange.
Pin assignment of the 2-pin connector of the fuel level indicator sensor "G"
1. Cable connection from fuel gauge sensor "G" to instrument cluster (fuel tank level indicator)
2. "Ground" of the fuel level sensor "G" ("ground" of the sensor)
