Removal the upholstery and cushion
To prevent damage to the upholstery trims, the rear seat backrest should not be reclined further when disassembled than when installed.
1. Edging
2. Upholstery and cushion. Remove the rear seat. Unlock the back of the rear seat. Remove the screen release lock on both sides. Remove the head restraints by pressing the button on the left head restraint guide while simultaneously pulling the head restraint upwards. The designs of the rear outer head restraints and the front head restraints are different. When removing any head restraints, mark the head restraints with adhesive tape. Remove the head restraint guides. Press out the edging "1" along the perimeter with a flat screwdriver. Remove the upholstery and cushion "2".
Installation
Install the upholstery and cushion "2" in the opposite order of removal.
Removal the upholstery from the cushion
1. Upholstery. Disconnect clips -2 from cushion "3". Cut wire staples "4" and remove upholstery
2. Staples. Standard, according to the tacker manufacturer's data. Use only the tacker for pillow staples.

Installation
Use staple pliers to install new wire staples "V.A.G 1634/". For more convenient installation, move the longitudinal rods back to the first cross rod. When installing, fasten the cross rods with clamps first, then the longitudinal rods.
