Removing upholstery and cushion
To prevent damage to the upholstery, the rear seatback should not be folded further when it is disassembled than when it is installed.
1. Edging

4. Upholstery. Remove rear seat. Unlock the rear seat back. Pry off the bezel with a flat screwdriver. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, pry out the edging -2- around the perimeter. Remove trim from handrails -3- (2x). Remove upholstery and cushion -4-. Installation: Install upholstery and cushion -4- in reverse order of removal
Removing the upholstery from the pillow
1. Upholstery. Detach clips -2 from cushion -3-. Cut wire clips -4- and remove upholstery. Installing: Use clip pliers -VAG 1634/- to install new wire clips. For easier installation, move the longitudinal rods back to the first transverse rod. When installing, clamp first the transverse and then the longitudinal rods
2. Staples. Standard, according to the taier manufacturer's data. Use only a tacker for pillow staples
