Removal



Instructions. One lateral acceleration sensor is installed on the left and right sides of the lower crossmember in the B-pillar area. The right and left sensors are identical. When installed, the arrow points outward.


Disconnect the negative terminal/cable of the battery. Remove the front seat. Remove the lower trim of the "B" pillar. Unscrew the seat belt anchor point, outer lower body parts. Raise the floor covering in the area of the lateral acceleration sensor. Disconnect connector "2" from the lateral acceleration sensor. Unscrew screws "3" (2 pcs.). Tightening torque 7 Nm* Remove lateral acceleration sensor "1".

Turn on the ignition. Close the doors. Connect the (-) terminal to the battery. Removal and installation of the contact ring assembly must be carried out with the steering wheel in the middle position (the front wheels are in a position corresponding to straight-line movement). The return ring with contact ring, as a new part, is fixed in the middle position with a plastic clamp or a cut-off ring. For vehicles with an ESP sensor in the return ring with contact ring, it is necessary to align the ESP sensor.
