Installation
In the reverse order of removal, install the glass in the door and secure it to the guide pins.
Apply locking compound D 185400 A2 to the threads of the new front and rear window guide bolts. Install a guide pin and a bushing on the inside of the glass, fix them on the outside with a bolt and washer, tightening the bolt to 2 Nm. Install on the guide pins of the upholstery cover (see fig. 16–28).
When installing the lower glass mount, align the glass groove with the guide pin and secure it with a spring clip with a washer and a damper (see fig. 16–28).
Pic. 16–29. Top stop location (1) on the slide of the guide pin for adjusting the glass in the raised position
Adjust the position of the raised window by turning the top stop on the guide pin slide (pic. 16–29).
Adjust the position of the upper edge of the glass in relation to the inner lug of the glass seal. Glass adjustment is carried out on a closed door.
Adjust the glass so that the top of the glass evenly rests on the seal and pushes the lip of the seal 1 mm. If the glass is strongly pressed into the seal, the door will close with great effort.
