If the oil indicator starts flashing and the buzzer sounds while driving, the reasons may be as follows:
  • 1. Oil level too low
  • 2. Malfunction in the electrical part of the switch and signaling device
  • 3. The oil pump does not supply oil
  • 4. Damage to crankshaft bearings

In this case, first of all, you must immediately stop the engine and check the oil level. If necessary, add oil to the system. After that, start the engine at idle speed. The indicator should go out. Raise the speed above 1500 rpm. The indicator should not flash, and the buzzer should not sound. If these conditions are met, you can move on.

If the oil level is normal and there is no possibility for further checking, do not move on under any circumstances, but tow the car and check the oil pressure.

If the oil pressure is normal, check the oil pressure switch and electrical wires. In the conditions of the service station, you can additionally check the engine control device on the instrument panel.
