Gasoline engine except APY engine
Warning: Diesel vehicles and AUDI S3 model (aPY engine) do not have a gas drive. The position of the brake pedal is transmitted to the control system by a sensor located on the pedal.
Warning: The gas actuator is very sensitive to breakage. Therefore, special care must be taken when installing. A minor break can lead to actuator failure while the vehicle is moving. Damaged actuators should not be installed.
1. Press the gas pedal fully and hold it in this position, or ask an assistant to do this.
2. Check if the throttle lever is touching the full throttle stop. Adjust the throttle drive if necessary.
Adjustment
1. Remove the retainer (arrow on the illustration).
2. Remove the drive from the support so that the throttle lever rests against the full throttle stop. In this position, insert the lock.
3. Additionally for a car with automatic transmission: Release the accelerator pedal and slowly move it toward full throttle again. Some distance before full throttle, the kickdown switch should click clearly.
