The engine number ("engine letter designation" and "serial number") is located on the cylinder block above the gearbox under the thermostat housing "arrow below". Additionally, on the toothed belt cover there is a sticker with the "engine letter designation" and "serial number" of the engine "arrow above". The engine letter designation is also additionally indicated on the sticker with the vehicle data.
