Checking the valve guides (Audi A2)

Insert the valve into the guide. The end of the valve stem should overlap the guide. Determine the clearance by rocking. Wear limit: 1.3 mm.

Instructions. If the permissible value is exceeded, repeat the measurement with new valves. If the maximum tolerance is also exceeded with new valves, the cylinder head should be replaced. Valve guides cannot be replaced. If a valve is replaced during repair, a new valve should be used for measurements.
