Loosen the retainer by turning it to the left and slightly lift the hood forward from the fasteners. To remove the retainer cap "1", unscrew the nut "2" from the thread counterclockwise. Press the retainer cap inward so that the gasket "3" is released. Turn the gasket 90° and remove it backwards. Remove the retainer cap forwards.
